What….HENRY’S Messiah?
You read that right. Handel wasn’t the only one to set those familiar texts to music.
Henry Purcell beat him to it, and you can hear these remarkable settings on March 11. Toronto violinist and bow-maker Stephen Marvin returns to lead Nota Bene and special guests Tactus Vocal Ensemble in this not-to-be-missed event. Bring your Messiah ears and prepare to compare these two English compositional giants.
Tickets for all concerts can be purchased through the Centre in the Square Box office at 519-578-1570. Adults: $28.00 Seniors: $25.00 Students under 18: $5.00 Students Over 18: $15.00. Save with Classics at the Registry Subscriptions: visit www.registrytheatre.com for more information.
